Prizes > Edmond Hustinx prize playwrights

It is during the biennial meeting of the Colloquium of Dutch-language playwrights from Belgium and the Netherlands that the Edmond Hustinx prize for playwrights is awarded in each case, presented alternately to a Belgian and a Dutch writer.

This prize is meant to honour talented authors of stage plays and radio or television plays for their work. Here the board of The Edmond Hustinx foundation decided deliberately that the jury would preferably reward authors who still have a certain development ahead of them: people who are at the start of their careers and who are not yet overburdened with prizes.
