Privacy Policy Hustinx Foundation

 

The Hustinx Foundation promotes art and science in Maastricht by awarding prizes and making donations. This involves processing privacy-sensitive information, also known as personal data. In many cases, the foundation collaborates with other organizations. Respecting the privacy of (potential) clients is a key principle. The Hustinx Foundation will only process personal data in accordance with a strict privacy policy and in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.

In this privacy statement, the Hustinx Foundation has outlined how we handle personal data. This means, for example, that we:

  • clearly state for what purposes we process personal data;
  • limit the collection of personal data to data that is necessary and proportionate for the purposes described;
  • not pass on your data to third parties, unless this is necessary to provide the agreed service or when we are legally obliged to do so;
  • when we share your data, we make agreements to ensure that this data is not used for other purposes;
  • take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and also require this from parties who process your personal data on our behalf;
  • respect your right to access, correct, or delete your personal data upon request.

Use of personal data

Depending on the services the Hustinx Foundation provides for you, the following personal data may be processed:

  • Name and contact details of applicants;
  • Financial information of applicants;
  • Visual material

Your personal data is usually provided to us by yourself when you make a request.

Purposes

The Hustinx Foundation will use the personal data you provide for the services or assistance agreed with you as an applicant or relationship/collaboration partner, as well as for complying with legal obligations.

The Hustinx Foundation processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • The Hustinx Foundation receives and stores your personal data, which you provide to us via a request on our website, email, visit or telephone call, in the relationship and applicant file.
  • We retain all personal data we have received regarding past applications. We do this to carefully assess future applications. We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the assessment of applications or for legal obligations. We retain financial data for seven years, and other application data for a maximum of five years, unless we archive it for historical purposes.

Our website may also use content from other websites and social media channels, such as YouTube and Facebook, that is visible through our website.

When using photos or videos, we adhere to the GDPR regulations. When we depict individually identifiable individuals, we obtain prior consent, unless it concerns a public event for which we rely on legitimate interest, such as reporting on award ceremonies. Data subjects may object.

You are visiting our website

We use Google Analytics to analyze how our website pages are visited. This allows us to optimize the website. We use Google Analytics in privacy-friendly (anonymized) mode, as recommended by the Dutch Data Protection Authority. No data is shared with Google, and IP address masking is enabled.

Disclosure to third parties

The Hustinx Foundation may share your personal data with third parties. When we share your data with third parties, we stipulate that it may only be used for a specific purpose. We also require that this data be appropriately secured and deleted upon our first request. Beyond this, we will only share your data with third parties if we are legally obligated to do so.

Security and storage

The Hustinx Foundation takes appropriate security measures to prevent misuse of and unauthorized access to your personal data. Security and safety measures will be regularly reviewed and updated as needed. If necessary, we will encrypt the data and log access. We will not retain your data longer than necessary. This does not apply to data that we are required to retain for longer periods to comply with legal retention requirements or for legitimate reasons.

Amendment and entry into force

The Hustinx Foundation may amend this privacy statement from time to time. Changes will be announced on our website. This version is effective as of December 1, 2025.
