Henriëtte Hustinx Prijs kunst Fons Haagmans medaille

Every year, each art faculty awards a Henriëtte Hustinx Award, consisting of a cash prize of €5,000, to one individual artist or one collective. At the Maastricht Academy of Arts, the prize is awarded to a promising young artist with the aim of giving a positive impetus to a starting professional practice.

Edmond Hustinx established the award in honor of his sister Henriëtte, who excelled in various disciplines as an artist, violinist in the Maastricht Symphony Orchestra, and teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts. Between 1962 and 1991, this award was presented under the names 'Academy of Fine Arts Award' and 'Henriëtte Hustinx Art Awards'.
